Layth Chaker

Layth Chaker is a Civil Engineer and Project Manager with 15 years of construction industry experience across Oman, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and Kuwait. Currently Project Manager at Sarooj Construction Company on Oman's Ministry of Transport, Communications & IT infrastructure program, Layth has delivered projects for clients including British Petroleum, Technicas Reunidas, JACOBS, and the Ministry of Fishery, ranging from OMR 6–50 million. He founded BIMpulse Middle East to bring the project controls discipline and digital transformation mindset from these large-scale delivery roles into the region's BIM adoption.

Achievements

Currently managing retaining walls, Irish bridges, box culverts, and slope protection structures on the Musandam monsoon-recovery infrastructure program
Led site execution on major energy-sector projects: Khazzan Gas Project (BP/Worley), Duqm Refinery EPC1 (Tecnicas Reunidas), and the Raw Water Treatment Plant (BP/Veolia, JACOBS)
Directed marine and coastal works including dredging, reclamation, and quay wall installation for Dibba Fishery Harbour and breakwater construction at Al Mouj, Muscat
Applied structural design experience from earlier roles in Kuwait (villa design) and Saudi Arabia (quantity surveying, Bar Bending Schedules for a shipyard project)
Proficient in AutoCAD, SAP, ETABS, and SAFE, alongside strong contract negotiation and safety/quality control practices
Fluent in English and Arabic, with working French
